Arachne's Swarm Strategy

Phase 1: The "Swarm" Difference

Arachne is mechanically different—and more difficult—than almost any other Epic because she starts with 8 monster squads instead of 4.

The PenaltyEvery time the monster hits, it kills 8 of your stacks instead of 4. Your troops will die twice as fast.
The High CostFor G4 players, deep "shield" layers are mandatory to keep damage-dealers alive against the extra enemy stacks.

Phase 2: The Best Captains

High LeadershipUse highest-leadership Captains (e.g., Cleopatra, Aydae, or Hercules). More leadership means more "meat shields" to absorb the 8-stack hits.
The XP HackArachne allows three Captains at once. Send one strong fighter and two low-level Captains to soak up massive Experience points.

Phase 3: Advanced Stacking for Arachne

The 20-Stack RuleTo be efficient, use a "Wide Stack" with 20 or more separate stacks (mix G2, G3, G4 of all types: Spears, Archers, Riders, Monsters, and Mercs).
Wait for the WeaknessWait until the Swarm drops to 4 or fewer stacks as the Kingdom hits it. Your troops will survive twice as long and earn significantly more Valor.

Phase 4: Use "Swarm Mercenaries"

Special BonusUtilize specialized Mercenaries (Spider Hunter, Acid Sprayer) which have massive damage multipliers specifically against Arachne.
The StrategyEven small numbers of these mercs, protected by large G4 stacks, can generate billions of Valor in one hit.
